SAFETY CULTURE DEVELOPMENT
Your Safety Culture is what happens when nobody's watching
- It’s the split-second choice your most experienced operator makes when the approved method is slower than “the way we’ve always done it.”
- It’s whether your supervisor empowers people to work safely—or cuts corners because a deadline is tight.
- It’s whether your team speaks up when they spot a hazard, or stays quiet because production targets come first.

When a mature safety culture takes root:
Leadership Commitment
Felt directly on the shop floor, not just written in policy.
Psychological Safety
Demonstrated and actively felt across all team communications.
Ownership Replaces Indifference
Everyone genuinely believes that safety is their personal responsibility.
Interdependency is the Norm
Teams actively watch out for one another during daily operations.
Developing this culture requires everyone, at all levels to understand their behaviours, choices, and how they influence the safety of themselves and others.
That's where the +people programme comes in.
What is the +people programme?
Procedures, systems and processes are a critical part of safety; the key to their success is whether or not they are followed, in the moment, where it really matters.
The +people programme helps individuals, teams and organisations understand the psychological reasons behind behaviours. Why we might not be ‘in the room’ during safety critical activities, why we might ‘take our eye off the ball’ during routine tasks, how ‘custom and practice’ can become more powerful than the written procedure, when familiarity can enable us to overlook hazards, and when the fear of challenge might prevent someone speaking up.
As well as understanding these drivers we equip people with tools to think and communicate differently during daily activities. We don’t give you more to do, we help you do what you do more effectively.
+people programme - designed for you
The +people programme is built around your business needs. You may need to start at the top with leadership. Or is it engagement with the frontline teams? Do supervisors need to build the confidence and capabilities to have effective coaching conversations with their teams?
It isn’t a ‘one size fits all’ package but a flexible programme that designed for you.
We spend time understanding:
your business demographic
what are your biggest challenges and opportunities
what are your desires for your culture
This enables us to design an approach and include the elements that will have the most impact.
How we do it
We build it to fit your business
Not scaled down from a
corporate model.
It works across all levels
This isn’t a leadership-only programme. It’s not a frontline-only programme.
It's delivered in phases
You don’t commit to a massive
programme upfront.
It focuses on the point of risk
Where the work happens and the
choices get made.
It's delivered by people who've been there
Not classroom theory from consultants
who’ve never worked on site.
Real-life impact
What site leaders say about our safety approach
Let’s build a safer, more proactive
culture together.
